Hi is really supportive and approachable, set clear expectations, and give you room to grow. The lab culture is genuinely fun and collaborative, and if you ever need help, they’re always there to guide you. It’s a great environment to learn and do research. I did see another comment that was more negative, so I think it might be a good idea to set up a meeting with him or even talk to some of the grad students to get a better sense of things before forming an opinion. :))
