## Advisor Style & Mentorship
--> Extremely micro-managing. He would wants you to update your notes live on lab google drive, so that he could check what you are doing. He tracks what you're doing with that. If you didn't update fast enough, he would call or email you to "remind" you to do that.
--> Racist towards non-american students. He would shout ***FUCKING SHIT*** directly in your face whenever he is in a mood. But he would not dare to use those word towards american student. He is extraodinarily much more friendlier towards americans. There is no use in telling not to use those words in front of you. He would then tell you go to UCB or harvard, then you would know the situation is much worse. As if he is trying to tell you, you have to suck it up working with him.
--> He doesn't listen. He doesn't listen to whatever you have to say. Whatever he say, you gotta do it without a slightest deviation. If you're off by a hair, then you will get the blame for everything that is coming. Even you did exactly what he said, he would still blame you for everything.
--> You MUST follow his instructions blindly and exactly He has no idea how things work, yet he will make a plan and tell you what to do and you have to follow it exactly. Even if you don't think it makes any sense, no question asked, you just have to do it. The worst thing is that, even if you try to remind (or correct) him some of his mistake, he just won't listen to you. Only after some time, when he realized his mistakes and he would put the blame on you. You have to know, he is always right.
--> He is extremely rude towards someone below his rank. He writes very rude emails to all the specialists and students. He treats whoever below him with no respect at all.
## Expectations for PhD Students
--> If you are not american, then he would expect you to do work like crazy. If you take a week off, even for a very serious business, he would exagerate it to other professors and said you're taking two weeks off. Making you looks like a fool.
--> He pushes you with unrealistic dead lines. He would want you to build a rocket and leaving for mars like right now.
## Funding & Support
--> He does have a lot of money. You can be a full RA if you working in his group.
--> Never get any useful support from him ever. He was NOT helpful at all. Even he tried to help you with your experimental setup, but most of the time he just wreck a havoc and you gotta deal with the mess he made. Yet, he blames you for not making any progress.
## Research
--> He doesn't have a solid research plan. He is the most stupidest PhD holder i ever met. He confused that 380K = 80°C. He even confused once trying to open a X-ray dosimetry badge thinking that a 5mm X 5mm substrate was in there. He is so stupid to buy the wrong item even when you send him the correct cart, and he would blame you for sending him the wrong cart. He doesn't know most of the stuff he is doing right now.
--> Lack of research vision. He doesn't know what he wanted to do at all. He just keep you moving in a circle. At the end of the day, he would blame you for moving in a circle.
## Lab Culture
--> Very toxic lab culture. He doesn't allow people in the lab helping each other. If you're a non-american, you get to do a lot extra work like taking care the equipments and chemicals and stuff.
--> A two face whiner. He would complain to you about your labmate in front of you. The next second he would change his face when that labmate walks in suddenly.
--> Non-american has to show up in the lab before him. If he is in the lab and you're not there, he would be mad at you. He would went on maniac and kept calling or texting you. But he would not dare to say anything to american.
