Culture is horrible due to PI's constant harassment and expectations. Lab members are most of the time tired and depressed from the unreasonable expectations and verbal abuse. Students either drop out, or carry on at the risk of destroying their emotional well being and try to find research projects with other mentors to minimize contact with PI. Internships in the summer after qualifying are accepted.
